Phillips Family

I had another opportunity to photograph these beautiful girls with mom and dad! And I loved it! They are the sweetest family and I always come away from these sessions with a renewed love for photography and capturing memories. They are moving on to new adventures in life and I will miss them terribly! But I am also excited for and wish them well! Enjoy some of my favorite images...

Mckoy- a birth story

This is one of the most special sessions I have ever done. I sort of feel like I won the lottery when my sister agreed to let me photograph the birth of her second child.Words elude me at this moment as I try to convey the feelings and emotions I experienced as I witnessed a new life enter this world. I suppose its because I am truly humbled and in awe of the miracle of life itself. And it's easier to enjoy when you're not the one doing all the pushing! I have to thank my wonderful sister and her husband for allowing me to share in such an intimate moment in their lives. Thank you! xoxoxo

Oddly enough, if you had asked me a year ago, I would have been totally anti-birth sessions. The reason for that was I had seen way too many inappropriate images grace the web...the types of pictures nobody needs to see because they are simply too personal. However, time and some good friends convinced me of the value of having a photographer present at a delivery. And you can be sure that I only capture the good stuff that you want to remember!

I realize that these sacred and precious moments are easily forgotten as time passes. I am ready to preach to the world that everyone should have a birth session photographer to capture their significant day and all of the genuine emotions that come with it. It is truly beautiful!

If you are considering having a birth story session done, contact me and we can plan some photos for your little one's arrival!
