Bailey is one!

My sweet baby actually had her birthday a few months ago so this post is really late. I finally took some time to work on my favorites of this independent little squirt. At the time these photos were taken she wasn't walking yet, but she could stand and was pretty proud of herself. Bailey is happy and always busy! She is an absolute joy in our lives. 

Her favorite words are "no", "down", and "thank you". She LOVES shoes and insists on wearing them all day long! She also loves her big sisters and follows them everywhere! She loves her tongue, you will notice it in most of the photos! As a result, we have never had need of a pacifier! Also noteworthy is the fact that up until this time, she refused to feed herself. She wouldn't hold her own bottle or put any finger foods in her mouth. The last photos are a cake smash, and not only did she play in the cake, but she fed herself! And she has been feeding herself ever since. This baby ate more cake than I have ever seen a baby eat during a cake smash. Many cry when they get messy, but not my funny baby! Lettie

I was very fortunate as a child to grow up with animals. We had fish, hamsters, cats, dogs, sheep, a goat, rabbits...etc. The list goes on! These were not all at the same time of course! haha But I suppose that the most important and influential of the animals were the horses. I rode in 4-H and had a lot of great experiences from a young age. Though I have moved out and have children of my own, the horses are still special to me and are a big part of my mom's life. She asked me to photograph one of her mares, Lettie. This horse is awesome! She really does it all from barrel racing, jumping, trail class, and more. I enjoyed photographing this beautiful Appaloosa as she showed off her skills! Here she is doing her thing...
